Team A to win — stake ৳500. Decimal 2.50 = Fractional 3/2 = American +150. If you win, return is ৳1,250 (৳750 profit + ৳500 stake back); if you lose, you lose ৳500.
The odds on a favourite are usually lower. For example: Team B to win — Decimal 1.25, American -400. On a ৳500 stake, the return is only ৳625 (profit ৳125). Lower odds are taken to mean a higher chance of winning — but the outcome is always uncertain.
Cricket betting usually has no draw. In a limited-overs match, Team A's odds are 1.45 and Team B's are 2.75. If you place ৳1,000 on Team B and Team B wins, the return is ৳2,750 (profit ৳1,750); if Team A wins, you lose ৳1,000. For more on cricket betting, see the melbet cricket betting page.
Bet Slip — Single and Multi Bet
Clicking on any selection automatically adds it to the bet slip. The slip has two modes:

Single Bet — one selection on one event. Enter your stake and the estimated return will be shown.

Multi Bet (Accumulator) — multiple selections combined. All odds are multiplied together to form the total odds.
Three selections: odds 1.50 × 1.70 × 1.90 = 4.84 (approximately). Stake ৳100 gives a return of ৳484 — only if all three selections win. If even one loses, you lose the full ৳100. A multi bet offers a higher return but also carries higher risk.
After entering your stake on the slip, tap the "Confirm Bet" button to finalise your bet. Before confirming, check the odds and stake once more — once confirmed, the bet cannot be changed.

Betting Exchange — What Are BACK and LAY
In a standard bookmaker bet, you bet against the site. In a betting exchange, you have the option to bet against other users.
Betting for a team
BACK ৳1,000 on Team A to win (odds 1.80). If Team A wins, profit is ৳800 (before commission); if they lose, you lose ৳1,000.
Betting against a team
LAY if you believe Team A will lose. On a backer's ৳1,000 stake, your liability is ৳800 (৳1,000 × 0.80). If Team A does not win, you profit ৳1,000; if they win, you pay ৳800.
Commission applies to exchange bets. Calculate your liability on a LAY bet — keep a limited budget if needed.

After each bet, you can view details of current and past bets from the "My Bets" or "Bet History" section on melbet.
